I have heard it can be awkward to Boot from flash on some HP models. I have always used the Boot-Choice menu using F12 key. On my Acer laptop, I had to change bios settings to enable, even temporarily set a password for bios to change these settings.

Perhaps one of the other HP Insiders can help you. If I recall, they had to change the Boot order in the bios to enable this. Regarding the driver missing, that is unusual. Maybe someone at HP support can help you with that. Good luck Dave. I think the difference is that in my case the power going out during the first downgrade attempt somehow messed up my C: drive as suggested by Johnny earlier and so the search continues.

What you said makes sense. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. During setup, select the Change what to keep option, and then choose Nothing on the next screen to complete a clean intall. Back up any data on the drive you want to save, because any data on it will be erased.

When the application opens, uncheck the "Back up system files to the recovery drive. You'll see a confirmation prompt. Click Create.

When this completes your USB drive will now be in a bootable configuration. Microsoft does not distribute ARM licenses - the copy on the page is only for evaluation purposes.

The download page seems to be bugged, it calls out Windows 10 but downloads Windows Windows 10 Insider Preview Home Single Language is built for consumers in emerging markets and can only run a single language.
